Sacm 1935 A Serial Number List

- Model: 1935-A Serial Number: F4186 A Year of Manufacture: 1945-1950; there is no specific date record, the Germans occupied the SACM factory in the B through D serial block ranges, from 1940 to 1944; the last block of “I” marked pistols ended in 1950. Caliber: 7.65x20mm Long / Longue.
- German occupation forces took over the SACM factory and resumed fabrication of the pistol in October 1940. Approximately 23,850 M1935A pistols were manufactured under German occupation. The German-made pistols received a Waffenamt acceptance stamp on the left side of the frame between the model designation and serial number, as well as an eagle.
This is a 7.65mm SACM mle 1935A handgun. The gun has a 4 1/2' barrel and a good bore. This SACM mle 1935A has its original parkerized finish. Sacm 1935a Serial Numbers
My brother went through some of my grandfather's belongings tonight and came across this piece in a small locked box. It was rusted and corroded horribly. Using penetrating oil and a nylon brush, he was able to clean it up the usable standard. This is what we know.
We believe it to take a 7.65 / .32 french long ammo. Looks to be a SACM m1935-A. It is outfitted witha lanyard loop for use by French Policia. It has a 766a (F?) serial number. As of now, we can not find a war pruf stamp that would indicate that it was possessed by the Third Reich. The F we believe, indicates that it was made after France was Liberated. Trying to get better pictures, but this is what we have.
